All crystals will eventually absorb negative energy and need cleansing. They can also run low on energy and need recharging. Cleansing the crystal and then charging it will remove bad/stale energy and boost the crystal\'s natural properties.


Clodagh recommends cleansing and charging your crystal when you first receive it to attune it to your personal energy. Keep your crystal\'s energy fresh and vibrant by cleansing/charging it once a month, or after particularly busy or stressful days. 





Cleansing your crystal
Try one of these methods:
- Light incense, dried herbs, or a candle near your crystal and let the smoke waft over it for at least a minute (be careful with open flames and don\'t leave them unattended).
- Center your thoughts for a few minutes while you hold your crystal. Picture light flowing out from your body, through your hands, and into your crystal.

Charging your crystal
Try one of these methods:
- Place your crystal on a windowsill under sunlight or moonlight for 30 minutes.
- Hold your crystal close to your mouth, inhale deeply, and then exhale a slow, focused breath onto the stone while visualizing energy flowing into it.
