Prized for its fragrant qualities, Sandalwood produced in the Mysore region of Karnataka in southern India is considered the most luxurious and highest quality. Kikujudo uses high concentrations of this fragrant Sandalwood to create a wonderfully unique woody fragrance that is a delightful balance of sweet and sour.
Kikujudo\'s Koboku Ginmi series captures the world of complex fragrant woods woven together by the genius of nature. Carefully selected by region of natural origin, these fragrant woods (koboku) are presented as close to their natural form as possible, highlighting the five classic tastes of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy within the wood itself. Beautifully presented in washi paper tubes displayed in Paulonian wood boxes, the incense in this series make exceptional gifts.
