Detailed information on Partanna Extra Virgin Olive Oil ~ 1 Litre - 33.8oz

In the heart of the Belice Valley, Sicily, the Assaro family has been cultivating Castelvetrano olives in the town of Partanna for five generations.

Partanna is situated in a unique micro-climate in Southwest Sicily, where rich soil, Mediterranean sunshine, warm winds, and abundant rainfall create the ideal conditions for growing Castelvetrano olives.  Castelvetranos are loved for their bright green color, fleshy pulp and nutty, buttery flavor. You can savor their essence in every drop of Partanna olive oil.

Partanna is produced by the Asaro family.  Partanna extra virgin olive oil is a first cold-pressed oil that is harvested early in October, It is only harvested and produced once a year.

When Partanna tins are first opened, the oil is cloudy with a green hue, herbaceous aroma, and strong \"pizzicante\" flavor. As the oil ages, it will mellow slightly and become clearer as the sediment drops to the bottom of the tin. Partanna\'s colorful packaging is beautiful enough to leave on your countertop and makes a terrific gift.
