What is a Mystic Topaz? - A Mystic Topaz is a 100% natural high grade clear white Topaz treated with an additional metal (a metal oxide like titanium and sometimes others like chromium, vanadium, or iron depending on the color) applied in a micro-thin film to the underside of the stone which causes light to reflect out in different colors.
The process, called CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) is inspired by natural gems like Sapphires/Rubies that start out clear but shine out intense blues, reds, etc, because of mineral inclusions of titanium, iron or chromium.
