The marble measures approximately 14mm in diameter and is 16mm high including the small hanging loop.  The marble hangs on a 10mm jump ring which passes through a 5mm jump ring. The whole pendant is 27mm long. A 45cm (18 inch) sterling silver trace chain passes through the smaller jump ring. The chain closes with a bolt ring clasp which fastens through a jump ring.How is this necklace made?

Creating this piece starts with making the glass marble on a small stainless steel loop. Clear glass is melted, stripes of colour are added and the glass is twisted and shaped to create a swirly marble. After annealing, sterling silver jump rings and a chain are added, then the necklace is ready for a new home.

The marble is made from soda lime glass. The small loop fused to the glass is stainless steel.

Both jump ring and the chain are made from recycled sterling silver.
