Our Short Stirrup leggings are made out of stretchy material. We wanted a snug fit under saddle. Please refer to the measurements above to help with sizing as age descriptions are approximate. Use a tape measure to measure your child\'s waist 1 inch below their belly button. Please remember, measurements are before taking into account the stretch of the material. Divide by two for the 1/2 waist measurement. Inseam measurements are taken from the inside of the crotch to the ankle. If your child would like a more relaxed fit or is in between sizes in most brands, size up. A belt is a great option if your child has a smaller waist.
