RAR Rocking Chair
Detailed information on RAR Rocking Chair
This is a RAR Rocking Chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950. This particular chair dates to C. 1955. The piece features a molded fiberglass shell seat in elephant hide grey. The base has black oxidized-steel legs, and the runners are done in birch.
The chair measures 27 inches long, 25 inches wide, and is 27 inches high. It has a seat height of 16 inches. The metal base shows some patina at joinery. The runners are in solid condition with scuffs and scrapes throughout. Overall, this RAR is in good vintage condition with some wear. Please see photos.
