Antique Edwardian lavalier necklace constructed of solid 14k yellow gold, amethyst, pearl and seed pearls.
Necklace features 2 panels at the top of necklace connected to the chain and art nouveau style pendant. Each panel link measures 1.2cm long x 0.5cm wide and is done in the style of leaves that are set with seed pearls and 2 larger pearls. Art Nouveau style pendant features classic whiplash lines and is set with one 3.2mm round cultured pearl (a later replacement) and one 3.5mm wide x 2.5mm long natural pearl (original). Finally a bezel set, 5.75mm x 4.02mm mixed mixed oval cut natural amethyst suspended from pendant. Pendant is 3.6cm long (including amethyst and excluding leaf panels) and 1.5cm wide.
Original and old fishhook looking clasp is in perfect working order (it is spring loaded).
Marked with a 14K and a key on chain end.Necklace measures 15.75\" long in total.
Excellent antique condition circa 1900-1910s.
