This is a Tubular Chromed-Steel Cantilever Z Chair, designed in the 1970s. This chair dates to ca. 1977 and was produced by Thonet. It has a Vienna Braid caned seat and back, and it has a metal Z-shaped frame. This silhouette is far scarcer than the Cesca silhouette that was widely produced at the time.
The chair measures 17 inches deep, 17 inches wide, and 31 inches high. The metal frame shows some scrapes and scuffs, and the wood frame shows some nicks. The caning is in great shape. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
