Tokyo Chaise Longue by Charlotte Perriand - Cassina

The Tokyo lounge chair was designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1940 during her stay in Japan. Charlotte Perriand revisits the LC4 continuously adjustable lounge chair following its concept of the marriage between rationalism and nature.

This iconic piece is made in bamboo or teak with a seat made up of curved slats connected by brass elements. The lounge chair is made up of a seat of 12 curved sticks in teak (dark wood) or bamboo (light wood) while the cradle is made of curved sticks of the same wood. The joining elements between the sticks and the crosspieces are in satin brass. The base is either teak or solid bamboo. The mattress and headrest are made of draining polyurethane padding and anti-stain acrylic yarn fabric (exclusive formula called Glen Raven), resistant to mold and ISO 9001 certified.
