We make a big thing about real tea. By real tea, we mean BIG, whole tea leaves, whole herbs, whole berries, whole spices...you get the picture.

You can’t fit big loose leaf tea into a normal paper tea bag. That’s why our teas come in tea “temples” ? a roomy, mesh tea bag that gives the leaves the freedom to move about and release their big, bold flavor. Loose tea ? in a bag.

Our tea bags (or tea temples!) are made from plant starch and the label on the end of the string is made from simple, old-fashioned paper. Even the ink on the label is vegetable-based, and everything is sealed with heat ? so no glue! As a result, our tea temples have the ability to break down to their original state, so you can pop them in your commercial compost collection.

Whilst the inner bag may look like plastic it is actually made from wood pulp. This means you can pop them in your home compost.

We use sustainable FSC certified paperboard for our outer cartons so you can simply pop them in your recycling bin.
