Authenticity: Most espadrilles on the market today are mass-produced overpriced imitations, often made in China. True espadrilles are traditionally crafted in France or Spain.
If you want to make sure you have a real espadrille, check where it\'s made, if it\'s hand stitched, if the sole is made of rope and if the embroidery at the front is real, most are not.
