Inspired by her family\'s travels through Guatemala, Amira of Archive NY grew up surrounded by beautiful textiles from her parent\'s journey, giving way to the creation of Archive NY. The design process begins by hunting down antique and increasingly rare fabric samples, especially from areas where weaving traditions are dying out. We then connect with artisans in those locations to begin weaving the designs
This textile was woven by an artisan from Totonicapan, Guatemala, using a footloom. This pillow features an intricate Guatemalan tie-dye technique jaspé. This particular jaspé design is specific to Totonicapan.
100% cotton front. Zipper closure. Backed in a handwoven off-white cotton.
Dry clean only. Faux down poly insert included. 18 x 18
