Fragonard Luxury Fragrance Collection - Fragonard is the beautiful story of a family, of perfumes and of women. A story that began in Grasse in 1926, when Eugène Fuchs opened a perfumery he named Fragonard in tribute to the famous Grasse painter. This spirit has been loyally perpetuated by the three succeeding generations who have run and are still running the company. At their instigation, new production plants and sales outlets have opened in Grasse, Eze, Cannes, Saint-Paul de Vence, Nice and Paris.

It was under the tenure of Jean-Francois Costa that the Parfumerie Fragonard went through a rapid expansion and modernization. He and his wife, Helene, as avid art collectors, amassed large unique collections of antique perfume related items, Provencal costumes and jewels and XVIIIth century paintings that have all enriched the company with museums, the last being dedicated to Fragonard painting.

Today, Jean-François Costa\'s daughters preside over the perfumery’s destiny, and are as concerned as the preceding generations with continuing to build the company and adapt it to today\'s needs and desires. Not only is the perfumery still run by its founder\'s descendants-three of his great-granddaughters, but it is one of the last remaining traditional family-run perfumery businesses in the Grasse region.
